Blues brigade downs Bombers

The day-night Anzac game at Rosedale on Monday between Rosedale and Traralgon Tyers United proved an entertaining spectacle for North Gippsland Football Netball League fans once again, despite being a one-sided affair.

A nine-goal-to-nil fourth quarter helped the Blues cruise to a comfortable 94-point win over the Bombers.

Brandon Mcdonald and Jack Tatterson helped themselves to seven goals each and the best on ground votes, while TTU coach Jay Neagle stood tall with four majors in a losing side.

The action heats up again this weekend in round five with plenty at stake and plenty to play for.

Two sides remain undefeated in Sale City and Rosedale.

Both are the in-form teams and had thumping victories last weekend.

Second-placed Rosedale looks good at the moment and it’s hard to see the premier losing to last-placed Gormandale this weekend.

The Blues are the in-form side and should defeat the Tigers comfortably.

Both TTU and Woodside are coming off round four losses and will be eager to take home the points this weekend. TTU has played quality opposition in the opening rounds, but was thumped last week while Woodside has shown great form this year.

Churchill will be happy with two wins in the bank, while Glengarry is still in a re-building phase.

Both sides have played well this year and an upset by Glengarry is not beyond the realms of possibility.

Expect a heated clash.

Yarram has found some good form in the last few weeks and looks set to continue that over the next several games against lower-placed clubs.

Cowwarr has the home ground advantage and played well against Heyfield last week, pushing the Kangaroos all the way, so a win is not beyond the Saints this week.

Woodside, Glengarry and Rosedale all remain undefeated after round four.

Yarram notched up its first win last week over Gormandale.

Heyfield also had a good win and it should be a great match against Sale City this week.

In the other match of the round, Glengarry will be looking to edge into first place on the ladder when it takes on the Cougars at Churchill.
