Horsemen held by Pines

MORWELL Pegasus was left to share the spoils with Frankston Pines after squandering an early 2-0 lead at Ronald Reserve on Saturday.

The struggling Pegasus created a two-goal buffer by half-time, but Frankston fought back to level the scores at 3-3 by the final whistle.

Goals to John Kuol (29th minute), Mat Luak (33rd minute) and Malesh Jadaeile (74th minute) were not enough to secure the much-needed three points for the Horsemen, who are left languishing at ninth place on the State League Division One south-east ladder, four points ahead of 11th-placed Frankston.

Pegasus had no trouble securing the full complement of points in the reserve grade after recording a resounding 4-0 victory against Frankston.

The Horsemen found the back of the net through Puop Simon, Orin Giesbers, Malesh Jadaeile and Yosoph Zara.

Pegasus is on the road to fourth-placed Malvern City this Saturday.
