Traralgon shades fellow reds

MAROON was the dominant shade of red when Traralgon clashed with Bairnsdale in the Gippsland League A grade netball competition on Saturday.

The reigning premier knocked the Redlegs off their feet 45-27 to remain second on the competition ladder.

Coach Kate French and midcourt partner Stacey O’Brien generated plenty of offense to swing the game in the host’s favour.

Drouin held onto top spot after holding off a feisty Moe 56-50.

Morwell kept third place locked down following a big 51-18 triumph over Maffra, while Leongatha and Wonthaggi also posted wins.
