Cowwarr coach Ebony Galea says her team expects to win this weekend when the Saints return home to host the Bulldogs.

The Saints sit third on the North Gippsland ladder, two points behind second placed Churchill.

Galea said the last time these two teams played the game was close due to Sale City’s consistency throughout the court.

“It was really close between A and B grades last time against Sale City so going into the weekend, we have an expectation to come away with a win,” Galea said.

“It’s going to be a hard game though based on last time, it was quite competitive.

“However, A grade are going into the game with a full side unchanged which is pleasing given what we saw last time we played Sale City.”

The Bulldogs remain inside the five at fourth, four points above fifth-placed Traralgon Tyers United.

Saint Kristin Woodall was awarded a life membership at the club’s gala event on Saturday, hours after playing in her 350th game for the club.

Yarram v Glengarry

In a game which could go down to the line, Yarram will return home this weekend after a five-goal loss to Traralgon Tyers United to take on Glengarry.

The Magpies and the Demons sit outside the top five, however, a finals finish is not out of reach for the Demons who sit six points behind TTU.

One would think Glengarry, who sit ninth and 12 points below eighth-placed Woodside, would now be playing for points and just waiting for the season to finish.

Churchill v Woodside

Churchill will play finals netball and will be hoping for extra points this weekend to move a step closer to ladder leaders Rosedale.

The Cougars will play Woodside in a clash between eighth and second which is likely to go the way of Churchill.

Woodside have won just five of their 14 games so far this season but sit only four points behind seventh-placed Yarram.
