THE quarter finals of the Battle of Britain Cup were played on Sunday at Burrage Reserve, Newborough.
Four teams now advance to the semi-finals, to be played this weekend.
The match between league champions, Moe United and runner-up
Traralgon Olympians saw the Red Devils go down 4-1.
In the other senior men’s quarter final games, Churchill United got a free pass into the semi after East Gippsland forfeited.
Falcons meanwhile defeated Sale United 1-nil and Monash defeated Newborough/Yallourn 6-1.
Falcons will play Monash, and Churchill United face Olympians for a place in the final.
IN the Shopwell Trophy reserves cup, Monash won a close battle 1-nil against Churchill United.
East Gippsland won its way into the semi-final after overcoming Traralgon City 2-nil.
Moe United also advanced with a 4-3 win over Falcons after trailing 1-3 late in the first half.
Scorers for Moe United were Harley Robinson with two goals. There was also a Falcons own goal, while Man of the Match, Zoran Winkelman scored the vital winning goal.
Sale United defeated Olympians 2-1 in extra time after the full time scores left things tied at 1-all.
The semi-final sees Moe United play Monash, while Sale United meets East Gippslsnd.
IN the woman’s quarter final games (Browne-Huzier Cup), Moe United, after a scoreless first half, went on to defeat Traralgon City 3-nil.
Miley Cooper scored a brace, and Rebecca van der Koogh also mader her way onto the score sheet.
League champion, Sale United was made to work hard in its match against Churchill United, going into extra time before breaking the deadlock, recording a 2-1 win.
Tyers overcame NYU 3-1 to progress, while Monash defeated Olympians 3-nil.
Sale United and Moe United will clash in the semi-final, and Tyers will play Monash.
Third Division games (Nan Bosma Cup) saw Churchill United overcome Sale United 2-nil.
Tyers defeated Moe United 3-nil, Olympians defeated Fortuna 2-1, and Falcons defeated Monash 2-nil.
Semi-finals will see Churchill play Olympians, and Falcons play Tyers.
THIS Sunday at Sale Untied Soccer Club will see the Latrobe Valley Soccer League crown its cup champions for season 2025.

Olympians will be desperate to take out the cup final after virtually throwing away the 2025 league champions title.
They are up against a Jekyll & Hyde side in Monash, who can on their day, upset any side in the league.
Olympians will have to be at their best if the good Monash side turn up on the day to end the LVSL 2025 season.

Gippsland, while it took Monash a penalty shootout to get over a weakened Moe United side.
Monash has had a top season this year, but a big improvement is needed from their semi-final performance if they want to win the final.
OLYMPIANS will start hot favourites in the thirds Nan Bosma Cup, with the likes of Henri Scott, Mauro Deluca and Alex van Vliet, the league champions will be hard to beat.
Tyers however has the classy Shayne Pavich, along with Drew Sedgewick and Donald Sykes to help.
IN the woman’s Nan Bosma Cup final, it’s the undisputed hot favourites in Sale United who should take out the league/cup double against Tyers United.
Key to Sale United is Sally Hoffman and Maddi Breakspeare, while Tyers are a team of hard workers who never give up at any stage.
