Police are appealing for witnesses to an armed robbery at Moe’s Subway restaurant on Wednesday night.
Latrobe Crime Investigation Unit Senior Constable Andrew Beazley said the armed offender entered the restaurant and threatened the young attendant, in what the officer labelled a “cowardly attack”.
Snr Const Beazley said no one was injured, but there were young children in the restaurant when the incident occurred.
He said the offender fled with some cash in a brown or orange-coloured old model four-door Toyota sedan, which he had stolen from Mid Valley Shopping Centre’s carpark at 3.30pm that afternoon.
