Stoic Hough busted

TRARALGON wildcard David Hough was stoic in defeat to Yan Bai during round one of qualifying for the venue’s second ATP Challenger event yesterday.

The 16 year-old showed glimpses of brilliance with some stunning forehand winners, but ultimately went down in straight sets 6-0, 6-0.

David struggled on serve, taking just four of 17 first serve points and 15 per cent on second serve against a tough international opponent.

The Traralgon ATP Challenger 2 continues today with the final round of qualifying, the main draw, and the final of Challenger 1 on centre court.
