Taylor made for classic

YARRA Yarra golfer Josh Taylor took out the 2016 Traralgon Classic at the weekend with a 72-hole scratch score of 293. 

Taylor shot twin rounds of 73 in Saturday’s opening 36 holes and followed up with scores of 74 and 73 on Sunday to take the title.

Host club member Tim Coffey ran third after carding 73, 81, 75 and 70 for a 299 total.

Traralgon’s Rory Jennings won the 72 hole handicap event with rounds of 80, 71, 69 and 69 for a 293 total.
