King of Kyokushin Karate

TRARALGON karateka Aaron Nabulsi has recently won a national title for his age for the fourth year in a row.

The Year 8 St Paul’s Anglican Grammar student competed at the Australian Kyokushin Karate Nationals in Sydney in the non-contact and padded full-contact divisions for his age.

Aaron won the boys 13-15 year olds non-contact division, competed in the boys 13-15 year olds padded full-contact division, achieving third place in the heavyweight division

He participates in the school’s Elite Sports Performers Program, which assists students to strike a balance between their school and sporting commitments.

The program will also provide Aaron with opportunities to develop his sporting abilities through the involvement of elite athlete guest speakers and sessions with staff from the Victorian Institute of Sport.

Aaron will also travel to the Australian Institute of Sport on the Elite Sports Performers AIS Camp this month where he will be coached and lectured by AIS Staff to assist him to push to even greater heights with his sport.
