INCREASED fees on planning and permit applications will roll out in Latrobe City from today following a state-wide review.
Fees will be more than doubled or in some cases tripled with two lot subdivision fees up to $1241 from $386, construct dwellings up to $1213-$1310 from $490, use of land up to $1241 from $502 and developments worth $100,000 to $1 million raised to $1457 from $604-$815.
Latrobe City Council’s general manager city development, Phil Stone, said the increase followed a seven-year hold on fees.
“These changes have been directed by the State Government after it identified that actual cost to councils for providing these services were, in most cases, significantly higher than the current fees,” Mr Stone said.
All permit applications submitted before the beginning of October will be subject to the previous fee rate.
