Solly’s mate is a lady

“A friend to all” is how Solomon ‘Solly’ Bramble describes his seven-year-old King Charles Cavalier, Lady.

Despite only having her since January, Solly said adopting Lady was among the best decisions he had ever made.

“I lost my cat and thought I’d get another cat,” he said.

“But my mum’s friend was looking for the right home [for Lady] and she thought we’d be the perfect home for her, so I got her and it’s been the best decision.”

A long-term animal lover, Solly has grown up with many different sorts of pets, however, said Lady’s laid-back temperament could win anyone over.

“She is good with everyone, not just me and mum and dad,” he said.

“She is a good friend to my mum’s dog, Ava, but they are very different.

“Ava is an excitement machine but Lady is a real quiet dog.”

Animals have been a big part of Solly’s life and, with a dog-walking business in Traralgon where he works with all kinds of dogs and having grown up with all sorts of pets, it is no wonder Solly appreciates Lady’s quiet temperament.

“I love animals – it’s in my blood from mum,” he said.

“We have had chickens, a cat, guinea pigs, birds, fish, horses, and even a snake.

“But Lady is a good mate, she is very soft towards everyone.”
