Police are preparing a coroner’s report following the death of a woman at Coopers Creek near Walhalla on Monday.
Investigators were told that a 18-year-old woman from NSW was wading in the Thomson River with family at about 4.30pm.
She was seen to go under the water and did not resurface.
Emergency services were contacted and commenced a search.
The woman’s body was located at about 10.45pm on Monday night.
Her death is not being treated as suspicious.
