Optus has joined forces with the Traralgon Amateur Basketball Association’s Under-10 boys’ team, providing the young athletes with spiffy new singlets and merchandise.

Optus Eastern Victoria general manager Jayson Grool said it was fantastic to see the team’s reaction to their new uniform.

“It is a shame that everything has been put on hold at the moment, but we can’t wait to come down and cheer the team on when we can,” Mr Grool said.

“We will also set them up with Optus water bottles and tote bags and have them really kitted out.

“With sport being core to Victorian culture, we are also looking forward to giving back to the local community and making sure we can best support the passions of these players. We are really passionate about supporting local communities whether its an adults team or kids team regardless of the sport we are incredibly excited to get behind them.”

The Blazers players are just as keen about their new look.

Archie Aitken said he loves having “professional jerseys” and added that having “with a real sponsor, it makes me feel special”.

Elijah Gillow said “I felt happy putting on my jersey and being a part of the team. I can’t wait to play basketball with my friends”.

Benny Marino said he was “Super excited to be playing with my besties and wearing awesome tops sponsored by Optus”.

Angus Reid said putting on his jersey made him feel happy “I just love being part of the team, I can’t wait to play”.
