FLANAGAN’S Bar in Traralgon is the place to be on Sunday.
The venue is playing host to Our Kinda Country, an annual fundraiser for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal.
Organisers have promised this year’s festivities will be ‘twice as special’ having had to cancel proceedings last year due to COVID-19.
“This year’s event is two years in the making,” spokesperson Dawn O’Connell said.
“We’re looking forward to an absolutely huge day.
“This is our 10th edition and we’ve raised more than $25,000 for the Royal Exchange Hotel’s Cork Club, which raises money for the annual Good Friday Appeal.”
More than 10 performers will grace the stage to deliver an array of hits including renowned musicians Evan Platschinda and Bill Rowley.
The live music will start from 12 noon and goes through until the ever-popular auction gets underway about 2.30pm.
Ms O’Connell said the auction featured a number of quality items including a print of Phar Lap, framed photos of Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley, a television, camcorder, gift baskets, camping and fishing gear as well as snow jackets.
“Entry is free to the event, but it might cost you a bit on the way out (at the auction),” she laughed.
