SALE City met Rosedale in the 15 and Under Grand Final.
Rosedale was first to score, but Sale City was quick to even up.
The Bulldogs played tenaciously for the first half of the game, but as the Blues hit overdrive in the third and fourth quarters, they proved too strong.
Rosedale’s Anna Passalaqua was a fierce competitor with an unwavering determination, who received best on court at the game’s end.
The final siren sounded, and it was Rosedale who took home the North Gippsland Football-Netball League 2022 premiership flag, dethroning the undefeated Bulldogs 33 to 23.
Rosedale coach Rhonda Fowley said she knew her girls had it in them.
“I am so proud of this bunch of girls; they have been the most amazing bunch of girls to work with over the last two years,” she said.
“I knew they had it in them, they just had to bring it on the day, and they did; I am so proud.
“Sale City was the pinnacle; we knew they were where we had to rise to.
“Sale City really brought out their game, and they are an amazing group of players, and we knew we had to get to their level; they wouldn’t drop to ours.”
