Car theft investigation
POLICE are investigating an attempted car theft in Morwell on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.
It is believed two males gained entry to the vehicle on Ashley Avenue at about 4.15am, before being disturbed by the vehicle’s owner and fleeing.
The males allegedly fled the scene in a silver Holden Commodore sedan with registration AKC246, bearing false registration plates.

Appeal for footage
POLICE are appealing for CCTV/dashcam footage in relation to a series of commercial burglaries that occurred in the Moe CBD in the early hours of Tuesday, October 22.
Police are hoping business owners in the CBD can check their cameras from midnight through to 7am that morning, looking for anyone hanging around the area.
Also anyone driving through the Moe CBD between those times is asked to check if they have dashcam footage.

Retirement village drowning
A MAN has died after drowning in a pool at a retirement village in Traralgon.
Emergency services were called to the scene at the Dalkeith Heights Retirement Village on Hazelwood Road in Traralgon, where a man was found face down in the water about 1.30pm on Wednesday, November 6.
A police spokeswoman said paramedics tried to save the man, but he died at the scene.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner. The circumstances surrounding the man’s death are not suspicious.
