Visitors to Traralgon’s bar and nightclub district now have constant reminders they’re being watched, following the installation signs across the central business district.
Signs on bins and stencils on the pavement have been installed to inform the public of the 13 closed circuit television cameras around Franklin, Seymour, Grey and Kay streets along with Post Office Place.
The video recordings from the cameras feed into the Traralgon Police Station.
Traralgon CBD Safety Committee chair and Latrobe City councillor Michael Rossiter said the cameras had provided police with an effective tool in the pursuit of maintaining law and order.
