In mourning for TAFE

Delburn resident and former TAFE teacher Graeme Wilson, dressed in black mourning attire, laid a wreath outside Skills Minister Peter Hall’s office in Franklin Street, Traralgon on Tuesday, with fellow Save our TAFE Action Group member Sarah Bardsley.

Mr Wilson has been protesting once a week – on the day he would have been teaching – for the past five weeks and will remain for “as long as it takes” to have the TAFE issues resolved.

“I loved teaching,” Mr Wilson, who taught sessionally for six months, said.

“I hope to make (the government) realise they can’t bring in cuts and get away with it.”
