A MAN underwent surgery at the Latrobe Regional Hospital after being struck by a forklift at a Swan Road business in Morwell on Tuesday morning.
The man, a truck driver, was standing near the front of his vehicle when the reversing forklift hit him.
The incident happened just before 8am and comes after three other Victorian companies were prosecuted in the past week as a result of forklift-related incidents.
The three companies were The Age Print Company, Limnos Poultry and Polycell Australia.
All companies have since implemented relevant measures to eliminate the risk of incidents involving forklifts.
