Students miss exams

MONASH University Gippsland students who missed their examinations earlier this week due to the floods can apply for special consideration, according to a university spokesperson.

On Tuesday, the 9.30am examination for seven units across four faculties were postponed to 10am.

Some 25 students were unable to reach the campus in Churchill, due to several of the roads, including Monash Way and Tramway Road, being closed due to the floods.

Most significantly, 23 per cent of arts students, or 15 students, were absent from their exam, while eight students were absent from the Faculty of Business and Economics and one science student was absent.

No information technology students were absent.
