A 32 year-old Sale man was involved in a fatal accident when the car he was driving collided with a truck east of Traralgon last Wednesday morning.
The victim was declared deceased at the scene of the incident, which occured along the Princes Highway between Traralgon and Rosedale.
According to Traralgon police member Sergeant Jeff Graham, the cause of the collision was still being investigated, although at this stage, police believe speed was not a factor.
“It is still in the early stages of investigation,” Sgt Graham said.
He said the driver of the truck, while upset, was not seriously injured.
The Princes Highway was closed for several hours between Flynns Creek Road and McNairn Road.
Sgt Graham urged members of the public who had information relating to the investigation to phone Traralgon police on 5174 0900.
