Harriers great bush bash

The Traralgon Harriers enjoyed a change of scenery as runners headed out to one of the summer championship’s five kilometre bush courses at Crinigan Road Reserve, Morwell last Thursday.

A smaller group of 41 welcomed Daniel Brick as a first time runner with the Harriers.

The pack was led by junior runner Venice Inot who completed the 2km circuit in 16 minutes and three seconds.

The three highest handicap points this week were taken out by Daniel Brick (26.49), Katie Ryan (29.20) and JP Meyer (22.21).

The fastest three female runners were Hilary Meyer (24.23), Jenny Northe (24.54) and Simone Forbes (25.59); the men on non-handicap time were Ian Cornthwaite (20.07), Riley Evans (20.25) and Charlie Twomey (21.56).

Tonight’s race will be at Edward Hunter Reserve, Moe for another challenging bush track.
