Fairytale dances on Moe stage

Classic fairytales and children’s characters were brought to life last week at the Moe Dance Eisteddfod.

Mary Poppins, Anne of Green Gables and The Cat in the Hat were just some of the identities dancers took on during the eight and under 10 character solo performances.

Event treasurer and entries coordinator Pat Dargan said there had been a lot of “amazing dancers that have blown us away” and encouraged the community to attend Tuesday night’s jazz championships.

“The audience has really enjoyed the character performances and our jazz events are always popular,” Ms Dargan said.

“We’ve been told it’s the friendliest eisteddfod they’ve ever been to, which is really nice and it’s great to have the community’s support.”

The jazz championships kick off at 6pm tomorrow at Lowanna College, Newborough.

Tickets are available at the door.
