Latrobe Valley students are being encouraged to submit entries for the 2016-17 Premier’s Spirit of Anzac Prize with the chance of winning a study tour.
The Spirit of Anzac Prize is open to year nine and 10 students.
Recipients of the prize get the opportunity to travel to significant wartime sites where Australians have served.
Twenty-two students will be selected for this honour and another 20 regional finalists will participate in a study tour of significant sites in Canberra, including the Australian War Memorial.
Students must submit an entry based on one of two topics.
The first question focuses on the impact wartime had on women and young people, including the expectations and responsibilities placed on them.
The second topic focuses on the experience of the Anzacs themselves during the First World War.
There is also an opportunity for secondary school teachers to travel on the study tour as chaperones.
