A 36-year-old man will face court today following an alleged stabbing at Morwell on Friday afternoon.
Morwell Police said the man allegedly stabbed another man in the buttock shortly before 3.30pm in a car park on George Street.
The man who was allegedly stabbed was taken to Latrobe Regional Hospital for observation in a non-serious condition.
The 36-year-old man from Morwell will face Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court later today charged with attempted armed robbery and intentionally causing injury.
Witnesses sought
Police are appealing for information following a single-vehicle incident on the Princes Highway near Breed Street at Traralgon on Thursday afternoon.
It comes after the highway was closed eastbound between Kosciuszko and Breed streets for about an hour when a silver Holden sedan allegedly mounted the median strip and collided with a power pole.
Traralgon Police said the driver, a man believed to be in his 20s, allegedly left the scene after the collision heading north on Mabel Street.
Police described the man as caucasian with dark hair and a solid build.
He was wearing dark shorts with no shoes and shirt, police said.
