On Friday, 22 September students at Toongabbie Primary School pedalled out of the grounds and joined the Gippsland Plains Rail Trail for a two-and-a-half hour bike ride towards Cowwarr.
The end-of-term activity was part of the bicycle education program, and the day concluded with a truck stop lunch.
There were three different riding groups based on skill and experience, and all riders wore appropriate safety gear for the trip in the outdoors.
A group of walkers took to the track in sun-smart hats, and staff, parents and friends helped supervise the expedition, and established checkpoints along the way.
