A boy has been charged following a carjacking at Morwell on Church Street last week.
Police alleged the 17-year-old Morwell boy stole a silver Subaru Impreza from its driver after demanding the owner get out of the car on Tuesday night.
The car was recovered two days later on Kingsford Street in Moe before police arrested the boy on Friday.
He was charged with carjacking and remanded to appear before a children’s court at a later date.
Detectives are yet to arrest a second man who was involved in the carjacking.

Man caught speeding
A P-plater had his car impounded after being caught driving more than 60km/h above the speed limit last week.
Latrobe Highway Patrol alleged the 19-year-old Chadstone man did 161km/h in a 100km/h on the Traralgon-Maffra Road.
His vehicle was impounded and he will face court at a later date.
