Dark green is the new colour of the TAFE Gippsland logo after the education facility’s change in identity.
Federation Training revealed its new name on Thursday.
TAFE Gippsland chief executive Grant Radford said Gippslanders wanted a name for the TAFE that would make the community proud and reflect the importance of the TAFE.
Member for Eastern Victoria Harriet Shing said “we are also committed and in the process of beginning the construction of new campus facilities here at Morwell to the tune of $35.5 million.”
The transformation follows a promise made by the state government last year.
Student enrolments at the TAFE have significantly increased when the Victorian government introduced a free TAFE course program.
TAFE Gippsland offers 29 free courses across its campuses and has seen a rise of almost four times the number of students enrolling.
Mr Radford said the changes were a really exciting time for TAFE Gippsland.
