Charming greyhound rewarded

RECKLESS Charm was rewarded for consistency with a convincing win in the novice grade five 658 metre greyhound event at Traralgon on Saturday night.

Reckless Charm had recorded two thirds and a fourth from her previous three 658m starts at Traralgon.

The consistent chaser has a strong pedigree (Bombastic Shiraz and Infinite Charm), is owned by Denis Pulis, and trained by Bronwyn Pulis at Moe South.

Well bred Sweet Satin (Velocette and Gian Gold) made an impressive debut after a slow getaway to score a convincing win in the slick time of 30.05 seconds for the 513m journey.

Gian Gold is litter sister to the champion El Grand Senor.

The meeting was underscored by a rare occurence when three greyhounds dead-heated for second place in race five on the program.

Top Drama won the event by one-and-a-half lengths followed by a triple dead-heat between Smurfs Cool, Yearwood and Arvo’s Rocco.

The winner recorded 30.08 seconds for the 513m grade five race.

Mondavi was an impressive winner in race three by nine lengths in a swift time of 29.97s for the 513m maiden event.

The greyhound is a half-brother to Melbourne Cup winner, Lord Ducal and is owned by Jenny Roberts and trained by Tony Mills at Tooradin.

Traralgon will host a Friday twilight meeting this week.

Full catering and bar facilities are available on course for all greyhound race meetings.
