THE start of two-day matches will see some huge clashes as teams battle to secure early-season wins and ladder position.
Raiders v Ex Students
The reigning premiers travel to Yinnar to tackle the side that inflicted their only defeat last year.
Raiders will go into the clash confident having won their first two games.
Captain Brad Knowles is in super form with bat and ball and will trouble the Sharks on both fronts.
Matt Dyke, Chris Stanlake and Mick Higgins will be called on to support their skipper.
After a poor game last week Ex Students captain Lee Stockdale will ask more of his team.
Greg Munro, Rick Battista and Jordy Gilmour need to make runs.
• Raiders to win
Gormandale v Traralgon West
WITH two wins on the board Gormandale go in as favourites against the boys from the West.
Tigers Adrian Burgiel and Kent Hammond are in form and Al Jenkin will enjoy the two-day format.
The Tigers bowling has been good with Stu Anderson, Shaun Barbour and Will Cheatley enjoying their early season games.
The West after two losses will be eager for a big upset here; Jon Bell, Shaun Falla and Tim Fitch will be keen to make an impact.
• Gormandale to win.
Toongabbie v Centrals
AFTER a bye last week the Rams will be eager to start the two-dayers in good stead.
Steve Nicholls and Toongabbie captain John Mayman will be the men charged with amassing big scores, while Tom Shippen and Jason Veneman hold the key with the ball. Centrals have started with two losses and need to get on the board.
Mark Rawson needs more support while Corey Pollard has started well with bat and ball.
• Toongabbie to win.
Churchill v CATS
THE Cobras have started the year in great form, winning their first two games, and go into this clash full steam ahead.
John Keighran and new recruit Ryan Ayers have been good, while Ben Kearns is causing some trouble with the ball.
CATS dropped the first two games and was terrible last week against Glengarry. Barney Webber is leading from the front but needs more support. Connor Sloyan is bowling well and Brett Chapman needs to get back to the form he had last year.
• Churchill to win.
Glengarry v Imperials
GLENGARRY was able to win easily last week while undermanned, which augers well for the year ahead. Magpies Ryan Delaney and Tim Spotswood look likely to make big inroads into TDCA cricket and Ben Julin has started the season off well.
Brad Sizeland, Boyd Hegarty and Alex Butler will need to bat well for Imperials if they are to cause an upset.
• Glengarry to win.
