PRO WRESTLING

LOCAL pride will be on the line twice on Saturday when Gippsland Pro Wrestling returns to Moe.

Having held the Gippsland Heavyweight Championship title for more than 400 days, Rosedale’s Andy Rhodes faces his most challenging defence yet when he comes up against three of the toughest opponents in the business.

In a frenetic four-way challenge match, Rhodes will face Xavier Black, the current Gippsland Challenge Cup holder Jarek Craven, and the ‘Mad Dog’.

Traralgon’s own Benny Factor is the other Gippslander with something to prove against young crowd favourite JXT Josh Extreme.

After a solid lead up, in which he has competed across three Australian states during the past month, Factor will be ready to weather the high-flying style of JXT in one of the night’s feature matchups.

Benny is a much improved competitor since training with Orlando Jordan in the United States and is at the top of his game ahead of the Moe showdown.

Moe Place at Ted Summerton Reserve is the venue for GPW XV ‘The Return’, featuring a host of male and female competitors from Gippsland and beyond.

Doors open at 7pm and the action starts at 7.30pm.

Tickets are available at the door and cost $15 for adults, $10 for children and $45 for a family of four.
