LATROBE City Energy’s women’s team extended its buffer over sixth-placed Western Port on the BigV Division One basketball ladder with a 12-point triumph over Craigieburn Eagles at home on Sunday.

Energy put the contest to bed by the final change, winning each of the opening three terms including a dominant 22-9 third quarter.

The Energy men tumbled out of the cross-conference top eight with dual losses in their double header.

Les Stothard’s men went down to Southern Peninsula by 30 points on Saturday, before being edged out by Blackburn in the final quarter on Sunday.
