Factor awakens

A CONTEST between star local wrestler Benny Factor and long time fan favourite JXT will highlight Gippsland Pro Wrestling’s “Awakened” show in Traralgon on Saturday.

Traralgon-based Factor is keen to show his Gippsland supporters his refined skills following a third month-long foray into the United States’ deep south to train and compete.

“This match will be the start of me going after what is rightfully mine, a shot at the GPW heavyweight championship title,” Factor said.

Regular fans will also be seriously concerned for the welfare of the other local performer Andy Rhodes, as he steps into the ring to face the villainous Tommy Hellfire.

Hellfire, who is currently chasing championship belts at the Mecca of the wrestling scene, will no doubt be looking to use Rhodes as training fodder, so expect the Rosedale battler to be taken to his limits.

A number of other high class performers have also been signed for the show, including some well known wrestlers yet to make their debuts in Gippsland.

GPW’s Awakened will be held at the Grey Street Primary School, Traralgon on Saturday.

Doors open at 7pm.

Tickets are on sale at the door: adults $20, children under 16 $10, family entry (two adults and two children) $55.
