A RECORD lap time at Brands Hatch, United Kingdom saw Glengarry’s Ben Currie qualify in pole position for round seven of the British Superbikes superstock 600 championship at the weekend.
Tearing the track up in 1.29.603 in the second qualifying session, Currie secured his maiden pole start in the BSB support series.
Currie traded the lead with Tarran McKenzie throughout the race, eventually finishing second by 0.45 seconds.
The result saw the Gippslander draw within nine points of series leader Mason Law with five rounds left.
