TWO Gippsland Grammar shooters have been invited to compete at State Championships to be held in Bendigo this month.
Both Emily Marshall, year nine, and Rylee Barling, year 11, put in sterling performances at the recent South-East Zone School Shooting Championships in Frankston to secure their spots in the squad.
Marshall placed second in junior girls after an unsuccessful shoot off for first place with a score of 17/20 while Barling came third in the senior girls’ individual event with a score of 18/20.
Gippsland Grammar placed third in the team event.
A total of 173 competitors from 12 schools took part.
