Members of the Combined Saints Junior Football Club and the Traralgon and District Junior Football League enjoyed a day out at the MCG last weekend after winning the Ultimate Herald Sun Foxtel Full-On Footy Bus Trip.
In celebration of Fox Footy’s Rural Round, 40 members from the Combined under-10 team and their parents boarded a coach from Stoddart Oval in Traralgon bound for the clash between Carlton and the Western Bulldogs on Sunday, 16 July.
After winning their match earlier in the day, the under-10s arrived at the MCG to find their seats and use food and drink vouchers for a pre-game feed.
Team manager Linda Williams said the day was a huge success and a fantastic opportunity for the combined team.
“The kids had a great time bonding as a team and singing the club song on the bus,” Williams said.
“We finished the day with some very happy and very tired children.
“We would like to thank the Herald Sun and Foxtel for this wonderful opportunity because this is something we just don’t get to normally do as a team.”
