A CHURCHILL woman was airlifted to the Alfred Hospital with life-threatening injuries after the car she was driving veered off the road into trees on Saturday night.
On Monday the hospital said she was in a critical but stable condition.
The 28 year-old was driving a silver Holden Commodore sedan along Mackeys Road when she allegedly lost control of the vehicle about 8.20pm.
Her six year-old and 18 month-old children were passengers in the car.
They were taken to Latrobe Regional Hospital with minor injuries.
Latrobe Highway Patrol Acting Sergeant Grant Phillips said police were investigating all circumstances, but were yet to determine what happened.
“We’re calling for witnesses. If anyone has seen this vehicle travelling along Mackeys Road, call Latrobe Highway Patrol,”Act Sgt Phillips said.
