TRARALGON’S Big Day Out sale will aim to encourage people to shop local.

The sale will take place on one bumper day from 9am till late on Friday, October 22.

Traralgon Chamber of Commerce (TCC) is behind the initiative, which aims to support local
businesses as Victoria re-opens.

There will be live entertainment, buskers for customers to enjoy, and mystery shopper prizes on offer.

TCC president Luke Henderson said it was a significant day for the town.

“The Traralgon Chamber of Commerce is really happy with the engagement of local businesses, we are expecting that a majority of businesses will really embrace the day,” he said.

“It’s a small step in encouraging people, with confidence, to come out and spend local.”

Mr Henderson hopes locals will use this opportunity to get some early Christmas shopping
in and see all that Traralgon business have to offer.

“It will showcase that our town as a destination spot for shopping prior to Christmas,” he said.

Businesses all over Traralgon are participating, and all in Traralgon Centre Plaza are involved, each offering their own discounts and special offers for customers.

“Businesses will follow their own COVIDSafe plans… and we obviously endorse that,” Mr
Henderson explained.

“At the end of the day we still want to be making sure that people to get out and support all the wonderful Traralgon businesses.”

Mr Henderson encourages locals to attend the sale and get involved with all the bargains on
offer, and most importantly, support Traralgon businesses.

“Come down and be a part of the many bargains that will be on display and get your Christmas presents in early.”
