Search for yellow utility

VICTORIA police would like to speak to occupants of a yellow utility vehicle with New South Wales plates and a camper on the back, with a Eureka flag on the side window.

Occupants of the vehicle were believed to have been first on scene to a fire on Purvis Road, Yallourn North about 4.40pm on 30 December.

Police believe the occupants may have information which can assist in the investigation; any witnesses should phone Detective Senior Constable Tamara Dunn from Latrobe Crime Investigation Unit on 5131 5000.

Witnesses sought

TRARALGON police are seeking information from witnesses to a hit-and-run incident on 18 December.

According to investigators, a 15 year-old girl was believed to have been crossing the Princes Highway at the Seymour Street intersection when she was struck by a vehicle.

She allegedly saw a green-coloured vehicle slow down and drive off as she was getting to her feet.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident and who may be able to recall the make and registration number of the car should phone Traralgon Police on 5174 0900.

Power tools stolen

A QUANTITY of power tools valued about $1000 were stolen from Bunnings Warehouse in Traralgon in the early hours of Monday morning.

Unknown offenders gained access to a rear storage area and cut a hole in the fence, gaining access to the items.

Suspicious activity

POLICE are investigating a report of a fire near Hazelwood House in Churchill about 5.30pm on Tuesday.

A man allegedly appealed for assistance, saying a small fire had been lit on the side of a walking trail.

Minimal damage was reportedly found at the scene.

Float and alcohol taken

UNKNOWN offenders who forced entry to the rear of the Ritz Restaurant in Hotham Street, Traralgon into the early hours of Boxing Day made off with a cash float of about $70 and a quantity of alcohol.
