Police to rake in golf course vandals

THE golfing faux pas of failing to rake the sand may be excused temporarily at Yallourn Golf Club following dual incidents of criminal damage.

Moe police are investigating an incident alleged to have occurred between 7pm on 16 October and 5.30am on 17 October in which bunker rakes were broken and damage caused to greens and bunkers.

The course was again targeted overnight on 19 October with rakes and flags damaged.

Police wish to speak to anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity at the golf course or on Golf Links Road, Yallourn North prior to the incidents.

Dirtbike stolen

Police are investigating a number of burglaries in the Tanjil South area that occurred on Sunday, 5 October.

According to police, on Sunday, 5 October between 11.50am and 5.25pm unknown offenders accessed a garage at a property on Moe-Willow Grove Road, Tanjil South, stealing a Sherco Dirtbike, with registration 9189A, and a grey coloured trailer.
