Churchill man arrested over allegedly stolen car

A 22-year-old Churchill man was arrested in Warrandyte yesterday after allegedly stealing a vehicle in Prahran.

The vehicle, a 2017 Toyota Hilux, was reported stolen from an address in Prahran at about 3.35pm on Thursday February 17.

Police Air Wing assisted authorities on the ground in following the vehicle along several roads, including Glenferrie Road, Monash Freeway, Toorak Road and the Eastern Freeway.

While being followed by police the Hilux allegedly rammed and collided with other vehicles.
At about 4.30pm the vehicle was finally intercepted by police on Pound Bend Road in Warrandyte.

The man was arrested at the scene.

No one was injured and the incident is currently under investigation.
