Traralgon Redsox in finals form

BASEBALL

THE Churchill Braves and Traralgon Redsox met at Morwell to conclude preparations for the final series in the last round of the home and away Latrobe Valley Baseball season.

No surprises were in store as the in form Redsox methodically went about their business to rack up 19 hits and held the Braves to six for the day.

Brad Adams was strong at the plate with one double and two singles to go three from three for the day, while Luke Hornstra kept the Braves batters at bay on the mound.

Redsox ran out winners 24-5.

The other A grade game saw Sale Rangers travel to Moe to finish their season against the Dodgers.

The game was scoreless for two innings before the Rangers scored thrice to take the lead, but the Dodgers hit back with three of their own to level the game. The Dodgers added two in the fifth, three in the seventh and four in the eighth to take the game away from the Rangers, who were held scoreless for the remainder of the afternoon.

The Dodgers eventually won out 12-3.
