The superload is travelling from Dandenong South to Loy Yang B along the Princes Highway from 10pm tonight.
The entire load is 100 metres long and weighs more than 6400 tonnes, it requires four prime movers and a team of specialist engineers to make the journey.
Tonight’s trip will take around nine hours.
The load will be traveling at 20km/h and will be difficult to overtake due to its size.
The superload will be move to the wrong side of the road at times so traffic in both directions will be impacted.
