A YALLOURN North man was involved in a fatal crash along Haunted Hills Road after losing control of the Ducati motorcycle he was riding on Sunday afternoon.
Victoria Police say the 60 year-old man was riding east along Haunted Hills Road around 3.15pm where they believe he tried to pass a slow-moving van on a sweeping right-hand bend before he lost control of the motorcycle and crashed.
Emergency services were called and the man was transported to Latrobe Regional Hospital where he later died.
Police are investigating the incident, and said the driver of the van was assisting their investigation.
The fatality brings the provisional road toll year-to-date to 161 from 184 deaths the same time last year.
