Round one of the Traralgon and District Cricket Association Neilsons Builders Cup was washed out after a great week of sunshine.
However, all games got started with most fixtures squeezing in 20 to 28 overs.
Rovers v Raiders
Raiders won the toss and got off to a flyer after electing to bat.
Mark Andrew (35) and Jason Macfarlane (70 not out) belted Rovers’ attack to put on 90 and when play was abandoned Raiders were 1/123 off 25 overs.
Imperials v Toongabbie
Toongabbie sent Imperials into bat and struck early with Brendan McGregor bowled by Tim Dunn for one.
After 26 overs Imps were 1/60 with Adam Bermingham 20 not out and Luke Owen 34 not out.
Traralgon West v Ex Students
Ex Students won the toss and sent West into bat.
The Sharks got on top early and were cruising to a big win when rain stopped play with Traralgon West in dire straits at 7/58.
Lee Stockdale took 4/12.
Glengarry v Gormandale
Gormandale sent Glengarry into bat and when play ceased Glengarry was 4/54 off 21 overs.
Leigh Churchill and Welles Jenkins took two wickets apiece.
Cats v Centrals
Centrals won the toss and batted and would have been pleased with its opening start to the season; after 26 overs it was right on top at 3/93.
Jimmy Hall made 22 and Mark Rawson was 37 not out.
